Put simply, fiber optic enables the fastest, most reliable Internet service available. The data is transmitted by pulses of light, emitted by lasers, which accounts for the incredible speed of data delivery. Each optical fiber is coated with plastic and enclosed in a tube for protection, which makes them resilient to wear and adverse conditions. That translates to greater reliability with fewer service disruptions.

What kind of packages does VCA offer?

We know that homes and businesses have very different requirements for Internet service, so we’ve created packages unique to each environment. There are four residential packages and four for business. You can select the speed that’s right for your needs, along with the price that fits your budget.

With fiber optic service, do I still need a dial-up modem and phone line?
A:
No, you won’t need that old technology anymore.

How are Valley Electric Association and Valley Communications Association related, and are there any bundles available?
A:
Put simply, VCA is powered by VEA. Our fiber optic infrastructure is embedded within many of the service lines already built by VEA. Still, we are separate companies, so at the moment there aren’t any plans to offer bundling.

Phase One of our service area includes much of the city of Pahrump, as well as Fish Lake Valley.

Will pricing vary based on location?
